COSMA Advocacy

COSMA advocates for the importance of strong SMAs to all stakeholders, including their member museums and boards.

We provide a unified voice on behalf of SMAs on subjects important to our field on a national level.

COSMA is also available to assist individual SMAs with state-level concerns through our communication network.

SMA Advocacy

While there are special "advocacy days" throughout the year when SMAs and their member museums are asked to contact their legislators, advocacy works best when we are able to share the importance of museums on a regular basis.

You don't need to be a lobbyist or political activist to advocate for museums.
